I am a lot of former things, including teacher, department chair, coach, aspiring principal (M. Ed), and a recovering comedian/Second City dropout. I hold the dubiously prestigious title of Second Funniest Man in the Quad Cities. In my current role with a Fortune 100 Company, I am responsible for preparing today’s high school students with the workforce readiness skills of tomorrow. I have assisted in the opening of two brand new innovative schools, Goode STEM Academy in Chicago, Illinois, and Falcon Tech in Longmont, Colorado. Additionally, I was the lead author in IBM’s Workplace Learning Curriculum, a curriculum that has been distributed globally to assist with the developing of today’s students with the skills of tomorrow. The work of the education program has been highlighted in publications throughout the nation including Time Magazine, NBC5- Chicago, ABC7 – Chicago, The Daily Camera, Times-Call, Chalkbeat, Longmont Observer and coming soon… KUNC – Colorado NPR.
I am a Chicago native and current Denver resident. I am a graduate of Augustana College where I studied Business Administration with concentrations in Management and Finance. I also attended Trinity Christian College where I obtained a teaching certification in Secondary Education. Most recently, I completed my Masters in Educational Leadership from Dominican University and currently hold principal licensure in the state of Colorado. I have spent a majority of my career in education both in the public and private sector working with high school students. I am an Education Program Manager, diehard Chicago sports fan, dog lover, and supporter of the Denver Nuggets.
